Inspiring Conversations with Alison Jacaruso of Holy Spirit in Me LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alison Jacaruso.

Hi Alison, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
For a long time, if you looked at my life from the outside, it seemed like I had everything I had ever dreamed of. I built a successful career in Hollywood as a celebrity stylist, worked with incredible people, traveled, was on television, and checked off the goals I thought would finally make me feel fulfilled.

But behind the scenes, I was exhausted. Mentally and emotionally. Physically and spiritually. Purely exhausted.
My nervous system was crashing out left and right and my mind wouldn’t stop the mental jumping jacks.

I was striving, people pleasing, chasing success, and quietly carrying anxiety, unresolved trauma, and an identity that had become wrapped up in achievement instead of who God created me to be. Motherhood became one of the greatest blessings of my life, but after the birth of my first daughter, everything I had buried came to the surface. I experienced postpartum depression, anxiety, and a level of brokenness that I couldn’t fix on my own.

Like so many people searching for healing, I looked everywhere. I immersed myself in the wellness world and eventually found myself caught up in New Age practices, believing they held the answers I was desperately searching for. They promised peace and freedom, but they never delivered the lasting healing my heart was longing for.

Then Jesus met me.

Not in a church service or on a stage, but in one of the darkest seasons of my life when I had finally reached the end of myself. My surrender became the beginning of everything. The Lord began to heal me from the inside out, not just emotionally, but spiritually. He showed me that the breath He breathed into Adam in Genesis wasn’t just about physical life; it was a reminder that our lives were always meant to be sustained by Him. I stopped striving and started abiding.

That encounter changed everything. Everything for Me. His encouter.

Today I’m an author, speaker, Holy Spirit Breath Coach, and founder of Healing With Me Yahweh, where I help women move from striving to surrender and discover the healing, peace, and identity that can only be found in Jesus Christ. My work blends biblical truth, nervous system education, prayer, and the Breath of Life God has given us not as a technique, but as a way of returning our hearts to Him.

Looking back, I can honestly say I wouldn’t change my story. Hollywood taught me that success without Jesus still leaves you empty. My darkest seasons became the very places where God revealed His faithfulness, and now I have the privilege of walking alongside women who are ready to stop searching everywhere else and finally come home to the One who has been pursuing them all along.

None of this was part of my plan, but I know it has always been part of His.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not even close. I wish I could say it was, or maybe actually I don’t. Every valley. Every mountain, every struggle, every moment of anything else? I can’t take anymore! It all led me to the end of myself which is ultimately what I needed and what I was searching for without realizing it.

If I’m honest, I think the struggles are what qualified me to do what I do today.

There were seasons where I smiled for the camera while silently falling apart behind closed doors. In Hollywood, I learned how to perform, achieve, and keep going no matter what was happening internally. I wore success well, but underneath it all, I was exhausted, anxious, and desperately searching for something that would finally make me feel whole.

Motherhood cracked me open in ways I never expected. After my first daughter was born, a 42 hour traumatic birth at that and then I experienced postpartum depression and anxiety. It felt like my entire world had unraveled. I questioned who I was. I questioned my purpose. My identity. I remember crying out, wondering if I would ever feel like myself again.

When you’re desperate for healing, you’ll often reach for whatever promises relief.

I immersed myself in the wellness industry heavily and eventually found myself believing in practices that I now know were leading me further away from God instead of closer to Him. They offered temporary comfort but never true freedom. Every answer I thought I’d found eventually left me emptier than before.

The hardest part wasn’t losing my career. It wasn’t walking away from the identity I had built in Hollywood. It wasn’t even starting over.

The hardest part was dying to myself. Letting go of the false armour and identity I had built.

Surrender sounds beautiful until God actually asks you to do it.

He asked me to lay down everything I thought defined me, my career, my platform, my identity, my plans, my need for control, and even the beliefs I had built my life around. There were moments that felt lonely, confusing, and costly. People didn’t always understand why I was changing. Some relationships ended. Some opportunities disappeared. There were times I wondered what God was doing, especially while it all fell apart.

But every time I surrendered something, He gave me something so much better in return.

He gave me peace where anxiety once ruled and had taken me over.

He gave me identity where performance and people pleasing once lived.

He gave me freedom where fear had held me captive.

He gave me Himself.

Today, when women come to me carrying anxiety, burnout, trauma, or feeling like they’ve lost themselves, I don’t speak from theory. I speak from experience. I’ve walked through the darkness, and I’ve experienced the healing power of Jesus firsthand.

My story isn’t one of having it all together.

It’s a story of what happens when the Great Physician meets someone who has finally reached the end of herself and allows Him to unravel them in mercy, grace and love.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t that God changes your circumstances. It’s that He transforms your heart in the middle of them.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Holy Spirit in Me was born out of my own encounter with Jesus.

After spending years searching for healing everywhere else, I discovered that the deepest healing wasn’t found in another method, program, or self improvement strategy. It was found in a relationship with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

That realization changed not only my life but the way I now serve others.

Today, through Holy Spirit in Me, I help women who are exhausted from striving, carrying anxiety, living with unresolved wounds, or feeling disconnected from God learn how to return to His presence. I teach biblical principles for renewing the mind, surrendering to the Lord, understanding how God designed our bodies, and walking in the peace that comes from abiding in Him. I teach women how to surrender and lay it down at His feet and in exchange build a relationship with the One who created them. The women learn to hear His voice deeper and clearer. They experience breakthrough, healing and even miracles through Jesus Christ.

One of the areas I’m most known for is teaching what I call “His Breath.” It’s rooted in Scripture, beginning with God breathing life into Adam and continuing through Jesus breathing on His disciples. I help people understand that our breath isn’t simply biological, it can become a daily reminder to pause, pray, surrender, and remember the One who gives us life. My approach is intentionally Christ centered and firmly grounded in God’s Word. We rewire our brains with the living Word and we Breathe into His presence and peace. Jehovah Shalom our Peace.

I also mentor women one-on-one, lead my online community, Healing With Me Yahweh, speak at conferences online and in person, podcasts, and events, and recently became a best selling author. Everything I create, whether it’s a teaching, a devotional, a coaching session, or a speaking engagement is designed with one goal in mind: helping people encounter Jesus, not simply consume more information. Experience His peace that transforms their soul.

What sets my work apart is that I don’t point people back to themselves, I point them to Christ.

Our culture constantly tells us to look within for the answers. My testimony taught me the opposite. Real transformation came when I stopped trying to save myself and surrendered to the One who already had.

I’m also passionate about bridging faith with practical understanding. I love helping people see that the way God designed our minds, bodies, and nervous systems reflects His incredible wisdom. Science doesn’t replace my faith, it often reveals the brilliance of our Creator.

More than anything, I’m proud that this ministry isn’t built around me. It’s built around Jesus.

If someone leaves my community, reads my book, hears me speak, or works with me privately, I don’t want them to walk away thinking I had the answers. I want them to leave knowing the Holy Spirit is still speaking, still healing, still restoring, and still inviting each one of us into a deeper relationship with Him.

That is the heart of Holy Spirit in Me.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Without question, it’s surrender. Surrender is easy to say. Surrender can even be easy to say you will do, but then when it actually comes to it. Wow, the Lord has taught me how to walk in it. Embody it and breathe it.

That’s probably not the answer most people expect, especially in a world that celebrates hustle, self made success, and having all the answers. But if my life has taught me anything, it’s that the more I surrendered to God, the more He was able to do through me.

Earlier in my life, I believed success depended on me. I thought if I worked harder, achieved more, strived harder, grinded further, controlled every outcome, and kept proving myself, I’d finally arrive. I know what it’s like to chase success with everything you have and completely lose yourself in the process.

It was exhausting. It was unfulfilling. Many times it was heartbreaking.

Today, I’ve learned that obedience is far more important than achievement.

Some of the biggest decisions I’ve made haven’t made sense on paper. Walking away from a successful career in Hollywood. Letting go of opportunities that didn’t align with my faith. Starting over. Building a business around Jesus when there was no blueprint. Choosing to follow where God was leading instead of where the world said I should go.

None of those decisions came from having everything figured out. They came from trusting the One who did.

Of course, faithfulness, consistency, resilience, and hard work matter. I show up. I work hard. I steward what God has entrusted to me. But those qualities only have lasting impact because they’re submitted to Him and He is the Ceo of my business and ministry.

One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

That verse has become more than encouragement, it’s become the way I try to live daily.

If there’s anything people notice about my life or my work, I hope it isn’t that I’m successful. I hope they notice that I’m dependent on Jesus.

Because everything I’ve built, every life I’ve had the privilege to impact, every door that’s opened, every healing I’ve experienced, and every opportunity I’ve been given traces back to one thing: the grace of God.

I’m simply someone who keeps saying, “Yes, Lord.” Your will, not Mine. Have your Way in Me.

He’s the Author. I’m just grateful to be part of the story.
