Inspiring Conversations with Charles Chandler of My Tennessee Home Solution

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles Chandler and Jordan Isham.

Hi Charles, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Our team comprises of eight individuals with a strong desire to serve. Seven of us served in the Armed Forces where service and giving back to others were taught and impressed upon us as a core competency. As our paths crossed through schooling at the United States Military Academy to training at bases such as Fort Campbell, KY, we started first as friends with separate visions, but the same desire to use our time and gift of life for greater purposes. Real Estate serves as a vehicle to achieve financial independence for our families, while simultaneously providing us the ability to give back. We started this company on the foundation to make a difference. From homeowners in distressed situations needing to get out of a bad situation to donating funds to non-profit Veteran organizations, we remain dedicated to making a difference. Trey and Jordan, two of the founders of My Tennessee Home Solution, began talking about real estate together at a military training event and later reconnected at a West Point Real Estate Conference called the Black and Gold Summit. From there, they hatched plans to merge their vision for wealth-building through single-family home fix and flips.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to build our company required lots of upfront risk including both time and capital. The beginning months were particularly challenging because we had not yet optimized a consistent sales strategy to provide the deal flow required to stay afloat. After spending many long weeks and lots of personal capital to get started, the company now consistently profits 80k/ month. We now provide coaching and mentorship to others, specifically transitioning service members, looking to grow their own real estate company by learning from our successes and mistakes.

As you know, we’re big fans of My Tennessee Home Solution. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Our company is a local, Veteran owned and operated real estate company that specializes in helping owners in distressed situations sell their property. The majority of the properties we assist owners with need considerable repairs, which allows us to employ our teams to rehab and resell to new homeowners. We’ve helped families in situations ranging from bankruptcy to divorce. To complete the projects, we employ Veterans that are transitioning out of the military into the civilian workforce by providing stability and new opportunities for them to serve the local communities. Each person in our company has a non-profit organization that we donate towards from the projects we complete.

What’s next?
We are continuing to grow our business and aim to generate 150k/ month in profit by the end of 2022. We are focusing on adding a multi-family acquisition branch to our company where we will buy, renovate, and hold apartment buildings.
