Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Van Etten & Michalea Gale
Hi Chelsea & Michalea, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We met three years ago while working at a Mental Health Treatment Center in Nashville. We quickly developed a friendship through our mutual interest of hosting parties, affection for aesthetics, and passion for cuisine. Over the years we loved celebrating social gatherings and holidays and always finding an excuse to throw a party. Throughout our work at the Treatment Center and other professions we found ourselves craving creative outlets to further our passion. With Michalea’s background in culinary arts and Chelsea’s knowledge and experience in event spaces the idea for Cowgirls and Confetti was born.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although every career has it challenges our friendship and love for party planning and decorating spaces has continued to push and inspire us through the long nights. We continue to realize the importance of networking and making lasting connections with local vendors.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Cowgirls and Confetti ?
We specialize in bachelorettes, birthdays, and girls trips. We offer three decor packages which vary on party size and budget. Packages include balloon garlands, party decor, gift bags, custom apparel, and stock the fridge service. A la carte options are also offered including mimosa bars, charcuterie boards, and bridesmaid boxes. We offer food packages including brunch bars, catered dinners, and dessert boards. Our goal is to take away the stress and hassle of coordinating all the details of a party so our client can simply sit back, relax, and enjoy. We’re most proud of the extensive options we are able to offer while still paying attention to the small details.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Living in Nashville there are so many opportunities for networking events. We follow other like minded small business owners while attending as many networking events as we can. Don’t be afraid to advocate and promote what you’re small business is doing because you never know who you may meet or lasting connections that may arise from the smallest interactions.
