Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerely Beristain.
Hi Gerely, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a first-generation Latina and licensed esthetician who entered the beauty industry right after high school. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I always admired the dedication and passion that comes with building something of your own, and becoming the first woman in my family to start a business has been incredibly meaningful to me.
I’ve always had a love for beauty, especially skin, makeup, and brows, but what truly drew me into aesthetics was the confidence it can give people. Early in my career, I worked in an acne-focused clinic for over a year, where I gained hands-on experience treating skin concerns and educating clients on acne-safe skincare and makeup. That experience deepened my passion for corrective skincare and personalized beauty.
Over time, I also developed a strong love for brow artistry. I enjoy customizing brows to each client’s unique facial features rather than following temporary trends, because I believe beauty should feel tailored and authentic to the individual.
Recently, I took the leap and opened my own business, Beristain Aesthetics. Although I’m still early in my journey as a business owner, I’m proud of how far I’ve come already. My goal is to continue growing a space where clients feel comfortable, confident, educated, and truly cared for. I hope to eventually expand my services and continue building a brand that reflects personalized beauty, culture, and empowerment.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every challenge has helped me grow. I started in the aesthetics industry right after high school, and opening my own business recently has been both exciting and scary at the same time. Building confidence in myself, growing a clientele from scratch, and learning the business side of things has been one of the biggest challenges.
One of the hardest decisions was leaving the security of a stable job to take a leap of faith and start on my own. It was definitely scary stepping into something so uncertain, but I knew I wanted to create something that truly reflected my vision, passion, and the experience I wanted my clients to have. Looking back, every challenge has pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.
At the end of the day, seeing my clients feel more confident and comfortable in themselves makes everything worth it and reminds me why I started.

Beristain Aesthetics is a beauty and skincare business focused on enhancing natural beauty in a personalized way. I currently offer corrective skin treatments, brow waxing, tinting and laminations, lash lifts, and waxing services. With my experience in the skincare industry, I’ve developed a strong passion for skin health and client education.
What sets my business apart is my focus on tailored beauty rather than trends. I want every service to enhance my clients’ natural features while creating a comfortable space where they feel confident, cared for, and understood. My goal is to continue growing a brand that’s known for personalized beauty, healthy skin, and genuine connections with clients.
