Today we’d like to introduce you to GFK Farms LLC Ryan and Adealiah Kozimor.

Hi GFK Farms LLC. Thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are a family-owned husband and wife farm in Montgomery County, TN. In 2015 after being honorably discharged from the US Army, we started going to school to get our bachelor’s degree in Business Management to open a marijuana dispensary. In 2017 after experiencing the powerful benefits of CBD, we moved to Tennessee to grow our plants and create our brand of products. In 2020 we opened Growing For a Koz Farms and are now known as “GFK Farms LLC.”

We specialize in crafting small batch CBD products for our brand and other CBD retailing businesses. We are an e-commerce business that enjoys participating in local pop-up events and wholesaling our products in and around Clarksville, TN.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s not been a smooth road; entrepreneurship is challenging for sure. Some struggle we faced was the newness of our industry. CBD started becoming popular in 2018 in our area due to the possibility of farmers making more money on a hemp crop than on traditional crops such as tobacco, corn, or soybeans. The increase in producers went up, with the demand slowly growing as people experienced the benefits of CBD, such as pain relief, anti-anxiety, and anticonvulsant relief.

A hurdle for our industry is the accessibility of cannabinoid-specific drug tests. Places of employment have standardized drug testing, with no differentiation between whether a person has consumed Delta-9 THC or Cannabidiol. Being that we are in a state that hasn’t decriminalized or legalized Marijuana puts employed CBD patients at risk.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
GFK Farms is short for Growing For a Koz (cause). After serving our country, we were trying to find options that wouldn’t be damaging to our health or exacerbate our already agitated symptoms from our time in service. After experiencing the benefits of what Cannabidiol offers, we found ourselves researching and developing our products to offer, donate and provide to the people in our community, especially fellow brothers and sisters in arms.

GFK Farms is known for an enjoyable way to consume your cannabinoids medicinally. Our best-selling product is our Wildflower Hemp Honey because it is a delicious way to take your CBD daily.

We have 8 years of experience in this industry, including the care and development of the plant, research and development, marketing, and education in all things hemp. We are different from other brands because we create small batch products for ourselves and our clients. The quality of the plants we use is not biomass- it’s whole flower extraction.

We are always looking to grow our wholesaling relationships with other retailers. We also provide white labeling and hemp processing services.
