Inspiring Conversations with Jasmine Johnson of SessionsWithJas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Johnson.

Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
A year and a half ago, you couldn’t tell me SessionsWithJas was possible with the amount of support and tribe behind my brand. When letting go of one of the biggest publications, it was my duty to still keep doing what I had loved to do and decided to brand me and my company to the fullest. I had a gift that needs to be taken over the world.

When releasing my brand, I had many supporters which later had held my own virtual conference to give back to my alumni, a magazine that highlights emerging and up-and-coming artists and supporting rising small businesses around the world, and more. 2022 will be filled with opportunities!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t. A lot of no’s but that one yes will change your life. There are many times that I have wanted to give up, but many supporters, family, and friends have gotten me to a place where I can’t give up because I have a gift of God and that I have to apply PRESSURE.

As you know, we’re big fans of SessionsWithJas. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My brand is a platform that highlights emerging and up-and-coming artists. I provide services for helping up-and-coming artists with campaigns and being able to put their music onto many different publications. I set aside from others because I go the extra mile to help my fellow artists who are needing a platform to showcase their talent and more.

With my brand, I am proud that it has elevated on a level that many haven’t expected and it will only go up from here by partnerships to sponsorships and more.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love how Nashville is a place for hip-hop music. My city is known for Music City and urban music is showing a lot more as the years go on. I represent my city in so many ways with how I represent the city so well.
