Inspiring Conversations with Kailey Hall of Pheel Style

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kailey Hall.

Hi Kailey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Have you ever worked years doing something only to be left unfulfilled at the end of the day? That was me for over a decade. I spent years doing what everyone else wanted me to do. I went to college, got the degree, got the job that didn’t require said degree, and pretty much topped out there…That’s where my move to Nashville began.

Have you ever been so unhappy in a career that it actually is the very thing that pushes you out of your comfort zone just enough to start believing in yourself? That’s where I was in my life at that time. (2017) So, I packed up my car and headed across country to Nashville. I just wanted to plant roots in a city that would push my creativity and vision. I felt called for something greater than clocking into a 9-5 salary job, I just didn’t know what it was. I had a friend that told me about a small startup skincare company here in Nashville, so I went in one day just to check it out. I went back a few times until I saw an opportunity.

I saw a need, specifically in the skincare industry to take the “corporate” feel and give it more of an enjoyable “lifestyle” feel. I ended up working for free with that company for 3 months. I spent that time building a strong brand identity and longterm brand strategy. I finally started to feel like I was doing what I was called to do, but even then there was still that little feeling in the back of my mind of wanting more. That’s how PHEEL was birthed.

It all started with that all too familiar feeling of feeling unfulfilled. To those who are reading this, I want you to know… Often times great ideas start from a place of unfulfillment or wanting more. It will scare you, it requires risk and discomfort, but I promise it’s worth it. There was so much unknown. But, it required me to believe in myself like I had never done before. So, I did it! I left the “safe” coorperate job and went all in on PHEEL.

Within the first 3 months, I had already brought on 3 clients. I had doubled my entire year’s salary in those 3 months. And, I haven’t looked back since. Since stepping out and taking the risk to start my own business, I have been able to help so many other business owners that I would’ve never been able to help if I would’ve kept playing it safe.

In 2022, I look forward to working with many more like minded entrepreneurs and helping them take their brand to the highest level possible. It still feels unreal most days that I get to wake up and do this as a career.

My message to those reading this would be – Time doesn’t slow down for you, so if you have a dream or idea, START NOW. START TODAY. PUT A PLAN TOGETHER, TAKE ACTION, AND NEVER LOOK BACK.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a somewhat smooth road with some bumps along the way. As an entrepreneur you learn a lot about your weaknesses. I have learned communication styles that work with some clients vs others. I have learned that same thing with employees. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing when I started – but that is ok. You truly do not have to have it all figured out. You just need to go for it. Each day you will figure new things out and learn new systems to put into place. If you are waiting to have it all figured out before you start, you will be waiting your entire life.

Pheel is a brand stylist company. When I say brand stylist -I mean that we help transform your brand. We work with mainly clients in the aesthetic/skincare realm. About 5 years ago I saw a need in this industry for the creation of a strong brand identity and online presence. When I first started out people in this industry were using stock images and Pinterest photos. I just saw a need and fulfilled it. I am the forefront in this industry for creating that strong online presence through visuals like lifestyle type photography and captivating product photography.
