Hi Kara Faye, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My photography journey started shortly after my son was born. I got my first camera, which was a Canon Rebel T5. My son truly was my inspiration to become a photographer. I knew it was my calling and what I was meant to do. I watched many YouTube videos starting out and shot a lot in auto. Slowly but surely I got better and better and understood more about the settings on my camera. There were times where I felt like giving up and that I wasn’t good enough but thank the good Lord I never gave up. The key for me was just always being true to myself and enjoying learning and growing. Looking back I never thought I would be here 9 years later as a successful and professional photographer. I thank God everyday.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggles for me were sometimes not feeling good enough or will I ever “make it.” It’s more like fighting your own mind and realizing God wouldn’t have placed this on my heart if I wasn’t meant to do it. There is so much I continue to learn with photography and I love that about it too. I will always continue to grow. Growth is everything.

I am a professional photographer that specializes in wedding photography. I fell in love with weddings more than six years ago. I truly love capturing every single moment of a wedding day. My heart and soul goes into each and every wedding and I pray for each of my couples that God brings them into my life for a reason.
I am so proud of my business and all of my hard work. I never gave up and I continue to grow. What really keeps me going is Jesus and his love for me. I couldn’t go a day without thanking Him and what all He has done for me.
I want my readers to know that my style of photography is bright with contrast and a bit of warmth. I love true to life colors and true skin tones.
