Hi Kathleen, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a native of Ghent, Belgium. In 2009, I wanted to start life over and came to America with four suitcases and my daughter. (We became proud American citizens in 2018.) In 2006, I started using alpha theta training after my own personal traumatic experience spanning over a few years… I started researching other forms and uses of therapeutic sounds. In 2009, I moved to the U.S., and in 2015 became certified as a Master in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) from the American Union of NLP in New York (AUNLP), focusing on the connection between neurological responses, language, and behavioral patterns learned through experience (programming) while also pursuing Sound Healing Classes through the Sound Healing Center, Globe Institute, San Francisco, California. In 2015, I founded RDR, produced music containing alpha theta sounds… I am also the co-owner of the Wholesome Health Lounge, a holistic wellness salon in Nashville, Tennessee, which houses the only RDR Wellness Sound Room in the world. I am a person who pursues my dreams and wants to show with dedication that the sky is the limit.
After lots of research and seeing the need in the world, I conceptualized the RDR Wellness device and App called Soñata. This device will make it easier for people to access the RDR customized binaural brainwave sound technology and live a healthier, fulfilling and engaged life. The RDR Soñata App allows people to create their own RDR Sound, contingent on the conditions they are experiencing that minute, hour or day. Together with these two tools, I hope to help more people all over the world from PTS(D), addiction, concussion, chronic pain, poor sleep, dementia, and more than 70 other conditions/ ailments. I have also created RDR sounds for animals and plant life (a critical resource). This non-invasive, non-controlling, convenient technology will revolutionize access to immediate help without the possibility of addiction. In April 2021, I received the Innovator of the Year for 2020 award by the Nashville Technology Council and in 2016 RDR Wellness won the Innovation of the Year Award by the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Bunker Labs and Bank of America…
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Because of the effects of RDR sounds to the body, the perception is Soñata and sounds altogether is a medical product and often expect to have FDA approval. Despite frequencies currently being utilized by anyone who listens to music, the grasp of how effective frequencies remain unspoken amongst caregivers and resources. We will change that for the sake of helping those in need.
We’ve been impressed with RDR Wellness Inc, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
RDR Wellness, Inc produces state of the art, proprietary technology featuring customized, binaural brainwave wellness sounds that help with mental, physical and emotional well-being using a simplified, accessible, and convenient method. We would like readers to know that we are constantly researching new sounds to create. We currently have 72 sounds total for people, animals, and plant-life. We have helped a partially paralyzed dog to resume walking again despite doctors expecting her to never walk again. The same with a lady who Doctors said she would be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. She is now walking, with no walker, and often sneaks in a little run. We were voted Innovation of the Year by Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Nashville Bunker Labs, and Bank of America. We were voted Innovator of the Year for 2020 by the Nashville Technology Council. Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I am also a single mom and just recently became a certified flight instructor after only three years of learning how to fly. I am also one check-ride from getting my Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics. My mum told me at 18 years old that she would not allow me to learn to fly; I pursued my dream in my late 40s (with my mum’s full support).
