Inspiring Conversations with Katya of Osadcha Nail Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katya.

Hi Katya, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Ukraine, and I moved to Nashville in 2017. Back home, nails are a big part of the culture, so when I arrived here, I struggled to find someone who could do my nails the way I was used to.

I started doing my own nails, then my neighbors’, then friends of friends. What began as a small passion and a hobby slowly grew into something much bigger. A few years later, I’m proud to own my own nail studio in one of Nashville’s most popular neighborhoods.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a pretty good journey that required lots of overtime and patience 🙂 as any business we’ve had our ups and downs but one thing and big struggle still to this day is staff and reliable people

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are an upscale nail studio specializing in a structured gel manicure using an e-file technique, also known as a Russian manicure. This advanced method is what I believe sets us apart, allowing for exceptional structure, longevity, and detail. We are the only nail salon in Nashville that offers it.

What I am the most proud of is how this brand started—from just one person—and grew into what it is today. Our services are very delicate and highly individualized; nothing about our approach is one-size-fits-all.

This isn’t the kind of salon you visit once and forget. It’s a place where relationships are built and maintained over time. Most of our clients have been with us for years, and that loyalty means everything to us.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Dedication, hard work and individual approach.

When I started to build my business, my goal was to create a place I would genuinely want to work myself – not just as an owner , but as an employee.
