Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristine Moore.
Hi Kristine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have both loved and been fasinated by horses for as long as I can remember. Finally, after a lifelong passion for riding and horsemanship, I turned my dream into reality buying a small farm in southern Williamson County. I began dedicating myself to teaching and sharing the joy and wonder of these amazing animals with others.
Today, I own Cheval Stables, a 55 acre farm in northern Maury County where Creekside Riding Academy & Stables still operates. My mission is to make horseback riding affordable, safe, and accessible to families in the community. I believe horses offer more than recreation — they build confidence, character, discipline, and lifelong memories.
Through quality instruction and a welcoming barn environment, I am committed to helping riders of all ages experience the transformative power of horses — whether for recreation, sport, or personal growth. 🐴✨
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Growth is rarely a completely smooth road — and this business has been no exception. Moving to a larger farm and combining boarding and lesson programs required careful planning, patience, and a lot of adaptability.
One of the biggest challenges was balancing expansion to the new larger location while maintaining the culture and safety standards we are known for. Growth can dilute quality if you’re not intentional, so we worked hard to ensure our systems, staff training, and horse care practices scaled appropriately. Blending two programs (Boarding, Lessons & Trail Rides) into one cohesive operation also meant aligning expectations, communication, and barn routines for boarders, lesson families, and staff.
There were logistical hurdles — facility upgrades, scheduling adjustments, horse management, and ensuring financial sustainability during transition periods. But each challenge pushed us to become more organized, more efficient, and more clear about our mission.
What we gained through that process was stronger infrastructure, clearer leadership, and a deeper sense of community. Today, our larger farm allows us to better serve both boarders and lesson riders while staying true to our commitment to safety, affordability, and quality horsemanship.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The business specializes in safe, structured, and confidence-building horseback riding experiences for riders of all ages. We offer year-round riding lessons, horsemanship programs, summer camps, trail rides, and leadership development opportunities through our LIT (Leader in Training) program.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to accessibility without compromising quality. Our mission is to make horses affordable, safe, and available as both recreation and sport. We believe riding should not feel intimidating or exclusive — it should feel welcoming, educational, and empowering.
We are especially known for our strong teaching foundation. Riders don’t just “ride the horse.” They learn horsemanship, responsibility, safety, teamwork, and leadership. Our program develops capable riders both in and out of the saddle.
Brand-wise, I am most proud of the culture we’ve built — one that blends professionalism with family warmth. Cheval Stables represents elevated standards and excellence in horse care, while Creekside reflects our community roots and welcoming spirit. Together, the brands stand for growth, integrity, and opportunity.
I want readers to know that whether someone is stepping into a barn for the first time or advancing in their riding journey, they will find encouragement, structure, and a place to belong here.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I would simply share this: horses have a unique way of changing lives. They teach patience, responsibility, resilience, and confidence in ways few other activities can. My greatest joy is watching a nervous beginner become a capable, confident rider — and seeing families grow together through shared experiences at the barn.
As the business continues to grow, the focus remains the same: to provide a safe, welcoming environment where riders feel supported, horses are cared for with the highest standards, and the community feels connected.
I am deeply grateful for the families, boarders, and staff who have trusted my team along the way. This isn’t just a business — it’s a place where lifelong skills and lifelong memories are made.
I look forward to continuing to serve our community and helping more people discover the power and joy of horses.
