Hi Lexi & Paige, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We are two sister-in-laws who grew up with a shared love for creativity, found a deep passion for making every event feel special. From throwing family/friends baby showers, weddings, birthday parties etc.
Lexi is in her first year of motherhood that being said she’s learned so much more about what makes the little moments special, she brings her organizational skills to everything she does, ensuring that every detail is perfectly planned.
Paige, a photographer by trade is a creative soul who thrives on bringing people together whether it’s through vibrant decorations or heartfelt moments shared with friends and family. Our complementary strengths make us a dynamic duo, as we channel our love for creativity and connection into every project we take on. Together, we created a bond that not only fuels our love for event planning but also deepens our appreciation for the people and moments that matter most. From the moment we started planning events together, we knew we had found something special. We loved decorating the venues with our own handmade touches, ensuring every detail was perfectly organized. With each celebration, our bond has grown stronger, and we discovered a deep joy in curating experiences that brought people together. Now, we channel our love for creativity and organization into our event planning business, turning dreams into reality with elegance and heart.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to starting Opal & Oak hasn’t really been difficult in a traditional sense. We always knew we would work beautifully as a team and we knew we had a passion for this field. Life had it’s road blocks that prevented us from persueing this full-time until we sat down and started gathering all of our work, As we scrolled through the hours of love and joy we poured into every past project we realized the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Lexi was a full-time stay at home mom and Paige was in between jobs and all the uncertainty that follows. If there was a moment to chase our passions it was now.

We’ve been impressed with Opal & Oak Event Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Opal & Oak Event Co. is a labor of love, owned and run by two sisters who are passionate about creating unforgettable events.
