Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Curtis.
Hi Nick, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always been involved in sport, fitness, and health. I grew up and completed my undergrad in exercise science in upstate New York before going on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters in Exercise Science in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My work has been greatly influenced by my diverse, lengthy, and deep understanding of the health, fitness, and rehab industries. My passion for strength and conditioning shifted to include rehab and injury care, giving rise to the clinic as it is today, integrated rehab and performance. I’ve had my share of injuries growing up, inspiring me to help bridge the gap between injury rehab and performance training.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth and steady. The priority over the last few years has been on educating Nashville golfers that there is a solution specifically built for them. Though it has not always been easy getting in front of these golfers, slowly we have built a reputation and trust with local country clubs and golf facilities through our great work, member focused workshops, and outcome based treatment plans.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Integrated Rehab and Performance Center?
Since moving to Nashville, I saw a huge opportunity to do something better—something more comprehensive. Too often, clinical care is limited by insurance systems and outdated models that don’t put the patient first. I wanted to change that.
So when I opened Integrated Rehab and Performance Center in 2023, my goal was simple: to give Nashville golfers a true solution. Our foundation is movement—helping people move better, period. From there, we apply only effective, evidence-based techniques to address pain, improve mobility, and enhance golf performance.
The clinic was built on one core principle: outcomes first. We start with what it takes to be effective for the individual, then design our systems and services around that. By integrating rehab, performance training, and golf-specific movement analysis, we’ve created an approach that bridges the gap between healthcare and performance.
Today, my focus is on educating Nashville golfers and golf professionals—helping them understand how pain and injury develop, how to prevent them, and how the mechanics of the golf swing and ground reaction forces can be used to build a more powerful and resilient golfer.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Everything is relationship management. From clinical care to marketing, there is no “work harder or study more” that will move you further than being able to communicate effectively and manage relationships. The clinic is building its place in Nashville among and with Nashville golf, not independently.
