Today we’d like to introduce you to Patty Young.
Hi Patty, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After 20 years in Property Management, 3 kids grown and one 4 year old daughter in tow, I left Nashville, where I owned a home, worked and played music, while raising kids, I moved back to Colorado. Approaching age 50, I was rubbing my mom’s neck and my sister said, ” you’re so good at that, you should go to school. ” School? for this? “ It never occurred to me to do massage professionally, I mean, Music was already not a valid career, so I thought.
I went to school at Denver School of Massage and graduated and got my License. A few years later I moved back to Nashville as my big kids were having kids. In June of 2020 I opened my own practice in Fairview Tn and the business built itself. During a time where we were staying 6 feet feet from one another and living in “fight or flight” it was the best and worst time to be doing a hands on business. Massage is more than hands on for me. The body, mind spirit approach is not just a saying. Before I knew it I was realizing, I really was a conduit, just like when I write and play music. We are energy and thats not just “woowoo. In August 2025, after 5 years at a commercial space, I found an awesome home in Fairview that has a basement that you would think was custom designed for massage!
I now have space to conduct my Chakra meditations and sound baths. I guess I’m drawn to the sound and vibration healing modalities, being a musician. I do Have a You tube channel “Pattys Harmonious Healing”, where you can access my original Chakra meditations. Most of them guided, some just with guitar tracks.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
What I pictured was a private practice but I knew that would take time to build. I worked for a chiropractor and a spa at the same time, at first. It was hard to match the income I was previously generating at a ” real job” I kept falling back to Property Management for security, while doing some outcalls.
We’ve been impressed with Harmonious Healing Massage, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As noted in the intro, I seem to have a gift for combining traditional Swedish massage (Western Modalities,) including deep tissue, and Eastern Modalities, such as Thai Massage, which involves Meridians and stretching.

What were you like growing up?
I am the middle child of 11 children. I was the sensitive empath : ) Hence the music and massage. I taught myself to play guitar as a self soothing tool. You can imagine it was a little noisy and chaotic haha.
