Inspiring Conversations with Sherly Diaz of Violet IV & Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherly Diaz.

Hi Sherly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into healthcare actually started long before I became a registered nurse. I began working with women and families as a doula and midwife assistant, supporting mothers through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. That experience is really where my love for caring for people began.

From there, I continued building my career in healthcare. I worked as a CNA, became an LPN, and eventually earned my RN. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to work in areas like medical-surgical nursing, postpartum care, labor and delivery, and newborn care. Every step taught me something different—not only about healthcare, but about people and the importance of making them feel heard and cared for.

Eventually, I knew I wanted to create something of my own where I could combine my nursing experience with a more personal approach to wellness. That led me into IV hydration and wellness and ultimately to opening Violet IV & Wellness. Today, I offer IV hydration, vitamin injections, medical weight-loss support, peptides, lab services, and mobile wellness services in the Clarksville area.

Building a business while continuing to work as a nurse has definitely challenged me, but it has also shown me how much I’m capable of. I’m still growing, learning, and expanding my vision. My goal is to continue building Violet IV & Wellness into a place where people feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for—and to show that sometimes the path you start on can grow into something much bigger than you originally imagined.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. Building something of my own while continuing to work full-time as a nurse has required a lot of sacrifice, long days, and learning as I go. There have been moments of doubt, financial challenges, plans that didn’t work out the way I expected, and times when I’ve had to completely change direction and start again.

One of my biggest lessons has been realizing that setbacks don’t necessarily mean you’re on the wrong path. Sometimes they redirect you toward something that fits you better. Violet IV & Wellness actually grew out of one of those unexpected changes. I had to make the decision to move forward on my own, rebuild, create a new brand, and trust myself enough to keep going.

Balancing my nursing career, my business, my family, and my personal life is still a challenge. But every obstacle has taught me something about resilience, patience, and trusting God’s timing. I’m learning that success isn’t always a straight line—and I’m proud that when things haven’t gone according to plan, I’ve continued to move forward.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Violet IV & Wellness is a nurse-owned wellness business focused on helping people feel their best through personalized, convenient care. I offer IV hydration therapy, vitamin injections, medical weight-loss support, peptide wellness programs, and lab testing, with services available both in my Clarksville suite and mobile.

What I want Violet to be known for is the personal experience. I don’t want clients to feel like they are just another appointment. I take the time to listen to their goals, educate them about their options, and help them choose services that make sense for them. As an RN, safety and responsible care are extremely important to me, and services that require medical oversight are provided under established protocols and appropriate provider clearance.

I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to serve members of our Hispanic community who may feel more comfortable discussing their health and wellness goals in Spanish.

What I’m most proud of is that Violet IV & Wellness is becoming more than an IV hydration business. I’m building a wellness brand centered around education, accessibility, support, and meeting people where they are—sometimes literally, through mobile services. Whether someone is working toward a weight-loss goal, looking for hydration or wellness support, or simply wants to better understand their health through lab testing, I want them to feel that they have someone in their corner.

Violet is still growing, and that is one of the most exciting parts for me. My goal is to continue expanding while never losing the personal connection and quality of care that I built the business around.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think the quality that has contributed most to my success is resilience. I’m not afraid to start over, change direction, or admit when something isn’t working. I’ve learned that you can have a plan and work incredibly hard toward it, and life can still take you somewhere completely different.

I’m also very determined. When I decide I want something, I’m willing to learn, ask questions, put in the work, and keep going even when I don’t have everything figured out yet. Becoming a nurse, continuing my education, and now building my own business have all required that mindset.

My faith is also a big part of it. I believe God has a purpose for my life, even during the seasons when I can’t see exactly where He is leading me. I try to trust the process, learn from every experience, and keep moving forward. For me, success isn’t about never failing—it’s about having the courage to get back up, learn from it, and try again.
