Inspiring Conversations with Stefanie Ruth of Live and Breathe Reiki

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Ruth.

Hi Stefanie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was always a very shy and sensitive child. I felt everything so deeply but I had difficulty understanding and expressing it. I now know it is because I am an empath. The ability to feel and sense the energy around me was always a blessing in disguise, I just didn’t know it at the time.

After dealing with perfectionism and anxiety, I found myself dealing with some health issues. I was searching for a way to heal my mind, body, and spirit. At the perfect moment, I happened to find an article on Reiki, a Japanese healing technique that promotes stress reduction and relaxation. Since I was always interested in holistic healing methods, I decided to try a Reiki session and I was amazed at how calm and peaceful I felt during – and after – the session. Reiki helped me feel centered. It allowed me to heal!

I loved Reiki so much that I decided to become a Reiki practitioner. It allowed me to continue on my journey of self-growth and self-healing. After receiving my initial Reiki certifications in 2011, I went on to complete my Reiki Master training in 2015. I started teaching Reiki certification classes a few years later.

In 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone. I created a public Reiki page on Instagram (@live.and.breathe.reiki) as a way to share my voice, spread positivity, and share information about Reiki with others. Ultimately, it allowed me to connect with people all over the world and it was the spark I needed to open my business, Live and Breathe Reiki, LLC.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe that the road to success is always a bit bumpy! As a private person, one of my biggest obstacles was taking the plunge to officially open my Reiki business.

I toyed with the idea for years before I actually did it. I was always hesitant to put myself out there. It took me a while to overcome my fear and self-doubt but I knew that in order to grow, I had to show up. I had to share my voice… and I’m so glad I did!

Dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic was another obstacle. When the COVID-19 outbreak started, all in-person Reiki sessions, unfortunately, came to a screeching halt. However, the beauty of Reiki is that it can be done both in-person and remotely. My Instagram platform allowed me the opportunity to connect with like-minded souls.

In 2021, I began providing distance Reiki sessions to people all over the world, including those residing in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, India, and Switzerland. It also inspired me to create my Etsy shop so that people could have access to unique, Reiki-infused products.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As the owner of Live and Breathe Reiki LLC, I specialize in helping people discover mind-body-spirit balance and connect to their authentic selves. In providing in-person and distance Reiki sessions, I am able to share the power of Reiki with people around the globe.

Reiki helps us balance our subtle energy system so that we can feel energized, healthy, and happy. Reiki allows us to feel centered when we are ungrounded. It gives us motivation when we are feeling lost. It fills us with unconditional love so that we can connect with others and learn to truly love ourselves.

It is my mission as a Reiki Master to create a loving, supportive environment for my clients to grow and heal. I love holding space for my clients so that they can let go of the past, raise their vibration, and move forward with light and love in their hearts.

Other offerings include Mind Body Spirit Affirmation Cards (a standard tarot-sized 44-card deck), intuitive oracle card readings, Reiki infused crystal candles, Reiki infused sage sprays, and various crystal kits.

Any big plans?
For now, I am loving where I am! I’m looking forward to pursuing my interest in photography and other energy/healing modalities. I also hope to begin offering additional online workshops and meditation classes.
