We’re looking forward to introducing you to Isis Swink. Check out our conversation below.

Isis , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Music – I am in love with it. The notes, the melodies, how it makes me feel and what the artist is saying. I am all in. It has been there for me in the darkest of times and the brightest of times. It has healed me and put me to sleep. It is everything to me.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am im Isis (Rhymes with Kisses) Ra-El. I was named by my retired history teacher father who was studying Egyptian history at the time of my birth. Isis is the Goddess of Love, light, loyalty, medicine and community. It is very fitting for me! I am the founder of GenIsis Holistic life and i am a wellness guide for your. Mind, Body and Soul. With GenIsis, I reintroduce you to yourself. I am a spiritual mentor as well as a Speak Life coach. I pour into you, remind you how you are, and watch as you soar. I also have a wellness line called Auset Essentials. Auset is another name for Isis (rhymes with Kisses). I create soap, salves. Creams and butters for the wellness of the body. I also have teas and tinctures that help with ailments that people may have. I am a one stop shop for holistic wellness!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served her purpose is fear. She is no longer allowed her. She had me shutting doors that could have taken me to next levels. She had me turning down situations that could have me being better than i was. She had me afraid of my own greatness. She had me believing things about myself and others that was just untrue. She had me afraid to get close to other people and mostly she had me afraid of getting to know the good and bad parts of myself. When i embraced it, looked her in the eye and said i was not afraid of her anymore, her grip was gone and i was free to be me. It was the most empowering feeling in the world.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
What suffering taught me was that i was resilient and strong. I was solution oriented and i could dig myself out of the whole. And I did many times. And i got stronger every time. Then i was smart enough to see it coming, warn others and walk forward on my path with the strength that I gained. I have been through a lot but i am stronger for it. It shaped me into who i am, and gave me great character. I would not be as strong without it, even though it hurt.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
The important truth I believe is that you have to love yourself before you can love another person. So many relationships are between 2 people who dont love themselves and are looking for someone else to fill that void. No one can fill that void except you, the time you take to heal you and releasing outdated thoughts. You are worthy of your own love. You amazing and the right person will be a mirror of you, Make sure it something you want to see!

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is my pure heart. My friends know that I am one big walking heart. It is my super power. I hold love and its energy up like a light. It is healing, healthy, fun and free. It makes you smile and feel good on the inside. It is not perfection, but acceptance. It is truth.
