Jenner Kreifels of Wedgewood-Houston on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Jenner Kreifels and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenner, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately I’ve been enjoying playing golf and pickleball with friends, trying new restaurants in Nashville, and planning my next exciting travel to St. Barth’s and St. Marteen for the holidays.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jenner Kreifels, and at my core, I am a bridge builder and a proud Patriot.
I currently serve as the Director of Impact for Folds of Honor, a national nonprofit with a powerful mission: to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled service members.

Our organization stands firmly on three foundational pillars — Faith, Family, and Freedom — and everything we do is grounded in those core beliefs.

In Tennessee, I lead development efforts across the state as well as a portfolio of national partnerships. Our local full-time team is small but mighty: it’s just me and the incredible Abigail Duncan, who joined us last October. Beyond that, we are backed by a volunteer Board of Directors, 27 remarkable individuals who are more like family.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the honor of helping grow the Tennessee Chapter from the ground up, taking our operating budget from zero to nearly $2.5 million. This growth has translated directly into impact, allowing us to support thousands of deserving families across Tennessee.

Building this chapter in Tennessee has been the privilege of a lifetime, and we’re just getting started.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My family and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!

I’ve been incredibly blessed with the most amazing parents and siblings. They are my rock, my sounding board, and my unwavering support system through every season of life. Their love and guidance have shaped so much of who I am.

My faith isn’t just a part of my life; it’s a crucial part of my foundation. Over this past year, I’ve felt more connected and in tune with my relationship with Christ than ever before. It’s been a season of clarity, peace, and deepened purpose.

While I have many favorite scriptures, the verse that guides me daily, the one etched on my heart, is Proverbs 3:5–6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

It’s a constant reminder that even when I don’t have all the answers, I know the One who does.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could talk to my younger self, I’d say this:

Keep playing sports. Keep practicing guitar and enjoying all your hobbies. And please, don’t rush to grow up.

Soak up every moment of being a kid, the freedom, the fun, the lessons tucked into the little things. Life moves fast, but there’s beauty in the simplicity of childhood.

And most of all, know this: the blessings in your life have only just begun. 🙂

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely, yes. What you see is what you get, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I take immense pride in showing up as my true, authentic self every single day. No masks, no filters, just me. And honestly, I wouldn’t want to be anyone else.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I’d stop holding back from the risks I knew deep down I was meant to take.
Some of life’s greatest growth comes from stepping into the unknown and I’ve learned that playing it safe can sometimes mean missing out on the extraordinary.
