We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jordan Ryan . Check out our conversation below.
Hi Jordan Ryan , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, I’ve been really enjoying creating content and showing up more on social media, not just for the sake of posting, but as a way to express myself and rebuild confidence in my voice. It’s been a fun and surprisingly grounding outlet. I’ve also been prioritizing little daily rituals that bring me peace, like matcha runs, going for walks, and finding joy in the quiet moments.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a professional makeup artist specializing in natural, enhanced glam, the kind of beauty that makes you feel like the best version of yourself, not someone else. My brand is all about creating a calm, elevated experience where women feel seen, celebrated, and completely confident. Whether it’s a bride on her wedding day or someone getting ready for a milestone event, I’m there to bring a sense of ease and luxury to the moment. What makes my approach unique is the intention behind it, I care deeply about not just how my clients look, but how they feel when they leave my chair. It’s beauty with meaning.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I’m releasing the part of me that felt like I had to overthink and hold myself back in fear of getting it wrong. That version of me helped me navigate a lot, but it’s no longer aligned with who I’m becoming. Now, I’m learning to trust my voice more, move with intention, and let things flow without needing constant validation. There’s something really freeing about honoring yourself, even quietly.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of not getting it perfect. I’ve always been really hard on myself, if something didn’t feel flawless, I’d either overthink it to death or talk myself out of doing it altogether. I held myself back in so many moments because I was afraid of being seen in progress, or worse, being misunderstood. But I’ve realized that waiting for perfect is just another form of self-doubt in disguise. Now, I’m choosing (mostly) to do it anyway, even if it’s messy, even if it’s imperfect. That’s where the growth is and I just want to be authentic.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d probably say that I care a lot about the people in my life, and that I take pride in the work I do. I value showing up for others, being reliable, and doing things well. I’m not big on surface-level anything. If I’m putting time or energy into something, it’s because it matters to me.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m choosing myself . Whether that means saying no to something that doesn’t feel right, taking time to slow down, or just doing things that make me feel like me. It’s those quiet moments where I’m not performing or chasing anything, just being present and taking care of myself, where I feel the most grounded and peaceful.
