We recently had the chance to connect with Korean Harris and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Korean, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
The most surprising thing I’ve learned about my customers is how deeply they connect with the message behind what I create. At first, I thought people would simply enjoy the designs or the books, but what I’ve seen is that they’re drawn to the testimony and the reminder of God’s promises. Many of them share their own stories with me — how a shirt sparked a conversation, or how a devotional helped them through a hard season.
It showed me that people aren’t just buying a product; they’re looking for encouragement, identity, and a way to carry their faith boldly into everyday life. That has been both surprising and humbling, because it reminds me that this work is bigger than fashion or books — it’s about building community and creating reminders of God’s faithfulness.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Korean Harris, and I’m the founder of Covenant Keeper, a faith-based streetwear brand created to spark conversations about God in everyday life. What makes Covenant Keeper unique is that it’s more than just clothing — every design carries a promise, a reminder, or a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
I started Covenant Keeper because for a long time, I didn’t know the promises God had for me. Once I began to truly understand them, I felt called to create something that would help others be reminded daily of His faithfulness too. Clothes speak before we do, and I saw an opportunity to use fashion as a way to share testimonies, encourage believers, and open doors to meaningful conversations about Christ.
What’s surprised me most is how customers connect with the message. Many share their own stories about how a shirt encouraged them, sparked a conversation, or reminded them of God’s promises during a tough season. That’s when I realized this is bigger than fashion; it’s ministry and community in motion.
Looking ahead, Covenant Keeper isn’t just about growing as a brand — it’s about growing in impact. My vision is to build a community where people can share testimonies, expand into youth-focused collections, and step outside the clothing space into location mentoring, traveling, and teaching the gospel. Covenant Keeper is just the beginning of a larger calling: to encourage people everywhere to walk boldly in the promises of God.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work is my mom. Watching her growing up, I saw what it looked like to be committed, consistent, and resilient no matter what life brought her way. She showed me that work isn’t just about what you do, it’s about how you carry yourself while doing it — with integrity, patience, and perseverance.
Her example is a big part of why I go so hard for my dreams now. Whether it’s writing books, creating Covenant Keeper designs, or mentoring, I carry that same work ethic she instilled in me. She taught me that you don’t just work for yourself — you work to impact others.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back the most was believing I wasn’t enough — not qualified enough, not prepared enough, not even sure of the promises God had for me. That fear kept me quiet and second-guessing for too long. But what I’ve learned is that God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called.
Once I chose to trust His Word over my fears, I started to see that every step of obedience brought clarity and confidence. That’s how Covenant Keeper was born — out of a place of fear that was flipped into faith.
Now, instead of letting fear stop me, I use my platform to remind others of God’s promises. Through Covenant Keeper and my writing, I want people to see that if God did it for me, He can do it for them too. Fear may try to hold you back, but keeping covenant with God will always push you forward.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
An important truth I hold onto — though not everyone agrees with me — is that not every opportunity is from God. We live in a culture that tells us to chase every open door, every bag, every chance. But I’ve learned that if it doesn’t align with His Word and His peace, it’s not from Him. That’s not always popular to say, but it’s the truth that guides Covenant Keeper and my life.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
What I would regret the most is not fully walking in the calling God placed on my life. For a long time, I didn’t know the promises He had for me, and fear almost kept me from stepping into purpose. But once I began to trust Him, I realized that everything He’s given me — from my creativity to my voice — is meant to point people back to Christ.
I would regret not using Covenant Keeper to its fullest potential, because this brand is so much more than clothes. It’s faith, it’s testimony, it’s community. Every design is meant to spark a conversation and remind people that God’s promises are still alive. If I don’t push that forward, I’d miss out on the opportunity to encourage someone right when they need it most.
And beyond the brand, I’d regret not leaving behind what God placed in me — the books, the mentoring, the traveling to teach the gospel. I want my son and everyone connected to me to see what it looks like to live boldly for Christ, without regret. To me, success isn’t about popularity or numbers; it’s about obedience. And I refuse to look back and wish I would’ve given God more of my yes.
