Today we’d like to introduce you to Abby Sholar Lampton.
Hi Abby, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started photography when I was just a teenager and never expected for it to take me where I am today. I began with photographing seniors and families, and that eventually turned into luxury weddings and brand photography. At some point in my career journey, I discovered my love for working with businesses to create the brand of their dreams. My goal is to be a one-stop-shop for branding, websites, social media, and anything else a business could possibly need.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am very grateful that the road has been fairly smooth for me, but with any expanding business comes some growing pains! The most difficult, yet rewarding, part of growing my business has been finding community — this certainly took time. Nashville has such a competitive market of creatives, which comes with its pros and cons. I am constantly challenged to be my best, but not everyone wants creative community. I am so lucky to have found collaborators-turned-friends who inspire me every day!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in creating beautiful brands, designs, websites, and visuals for new or growing brands nationwide. I live to collaborate with my clients, ensuring that they love their brand as much as I do. Everything I design is custom and tailored to the client. My greatest joy is working with clients who are creative, and want their visuals to reflect that.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I am so passionate about connecting with creatives in a mutually-inspiring and collaborative way. I have learned so much from simply getting to know my fellow creatives. I am an open book when it comes to my craft, I think there is room for everyone in this space. When it comes to networking, I find that it is most effective when you carry this state of mind.
