Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Stock.

Hi Amber, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my business in 2015 inside a small salon as a spray tanning business. In 2017 I moved locations, expanded, and added my boutique to my spray tanning salon. Once 2020 came around and covid hit, I primarily moved online. I have been growing my online boutique ever since. Tiktok has been a game-changer, and I have found my niche and like-minded ladies on my socials since focusing on my online store.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a rollercoaster. I have had good years and not-so-great years. Every obstacle has been a learning experience and has given me a chance to pivot instead of giving up.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I opened Stay Golden Sunless Boutique in 2017 because I wanted to bring a mix of western glam and edgy boho styles to women who don’t usually get dressed up. Either because they are stuck in a “mom rut” or not super confident in their body.

It can be a struggle to find outfits that flatter all body types. As a size 12/14 woman, I have been let down plenty of times buying large, thinking it will fit, and it turns out it’s way too small. I wanted to make women feel good about themselves in trendy outfits while being comfortable at the same time.

Styling outfits for mid-sized women is my jam, but I offer styles for all sizes of women and body types! I love the desert grunge look with a mix of western glam. Styles can take you from your hometown dive bar to weekends in Nashville, Vegas, or even beach getaways in Miami.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Well, I’m not rich yet, so I guess it’s not about the money for me, although making money helps! I truly believe I am my brand. When people think of Stay Golden, they think of me; they think of the inspiration I bring to women struggling to love themselves in their skin. The positive image and name I have made for my brand are my real success. The women I have helped to be more confident, step out of their comfort zone and walk proudly in the styles they wear from me. That is my success.
