Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon & Hannah Waugh.

Hi Brandon & Hannah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself?
We are Brandon and Hannah Waugh and we are Nashville (Franklin) LOCALS. With the surge of growth in middle TN, it feels like being a Nashville Native is a bit of a “unicorn” theses days! We live in on a mini hobby farm in Franklin and are the proud owners of Tiny Haven Spaces. We design and build custom elevated forts, and custom playhouses!

When I (Brandon) was a kid my main goal in life was building and playing with Legos. As a child, I (Hannah) grew up almost every weekend doing some kind of home renovation project with my dad. We both have worked with our hands on every different kind of project since then. When we felt the pull to start our own company together, we knew creating and building was 100% what we wanted to do!

We have 3 kids (15, 10, 7) and we LOVE being parents! Over the years, our family has had the most epic times in TINY places… forts, playhouses, camping, glamping, tiny homes, tree houses, etc. Therefore, the direction we wanted to take our company was a no-brainer, helping families have these epic  “tiny spaces” in their own backyard! Tiny spaces to pause, escape, & connect. We want our tiny spaces to feel like a haven away from the crazy of the world & our busy schedules; where kids can just be kids and families can find peace and connection.
We started Tiny Haven Spaces in 2020 and have been helping families all over middle TN since then! Hannah works with each family to thoughtfully design every custom space & Brandon & his team expertly build each space.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
We have been having so much fun! As you can imagine, starting a brand new company ONE month before the world shut down with a global pandemic was a bit of a rocky start. It actually turned out to be a really neat opportunity and blessing! While families were stuck at home, we got to build spaces for them to have something to do and a safe place to retreat to during that difficult season. We were honored to help each family during that time and continue to feel that same delight for each build since!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I think one of the things that sets us apart is that we only build CUSTOM spaces. We love this part of our company, it allows us to be personal and intentional with each space for each family! We don’t have inventory, we don’t have “models”, we design and build unique tiny spaces that fit each family’s wants and needs.
