Life & Work with Brian “BReal” Dandridge of Murfreesboro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian “BReal” Dandridge.

Hi Brian “BReal”, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I moved here from Memphis TN to attend MTSU majoring in audio production with a dream of doing sound for film but that quickly changed into being an artist the more I dove into the music scene around town.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely have had a few bumps in the road. Mainly personal battles just trying to deal with the constant question of “Am I good enough” or “Will they like me and what I’m doing” and I had to learn that it’s best to just be yourself and how it’s okay to mess up as long as you know that you failed while being true to who you are and still the upholding the morales you believe in.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an artist. I specialize in the making of RnB. I’m known for being BReal and being the leader and head singer of BReal and The Real One’s. I am most proud of the things I was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time and not letting anything in my personal life get in the way of me chasing my dreams. What’s sets me apart from others is my genuine love for music…you always hear people say “I like everything except” or “I like everything, but” and those are the people that really don’t like everything but I truly like everything or at least try to find something that I like in everything because how else could you truly say that you like and appreciate all music.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I think my drive is most important towards my success. I’ve reached some of my highest accomplishments to date within my career while going through some of the darkest and most mentally challenging times of my personal life and kept going, kept pushing, and kept striving for greatness no matter what.
