Life & Work with Cameron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron.

Hi Cameron, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well, when I was in high school I had a group of friends who did music and they were the first people to actually show me a recording set up. But it was a specific day that made me a want to be a producer. It was a half of day of school I went to my friend’s house until my mom came and picked me up from work. Waka Flocka had just drop DuFlockaRant 2 the mixtape it has this one song called “Stay Hood” ft Lil Wayne produced by 808Mafia. I walked into my friend’s older brother and our other homeboy playing it and I said “oh my God who made this beat” they said ‘808Mafia” I said “who is that” they then went on youtube and showed me a video of them making beats in the studio. That wave and sound was epic to my generation I wanted to create just like them. I went home got on my mom’s laptop downloaded the demo version of FL Studio and the rest is history. I was 14 at that time I am 28 now 14 years of creating and will forever give my art in a form of sound.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes of course, Especially if you’re getting it out the mud as a producer. My Career really didn’t start taking off until I was 21. You have to put the work in it’s no way around it as a producer it’s always competition, but you have to not only work hard you also have to find your own swag so people will recognize your sound.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in producing some of the greatest beats the world has ever heard. I’m most known for my beats and who I’ve produced for like Babyface Ray, Veeze, GT, Peewee Longway, YTB Fatt, Los & Nutty, Big HomieG, MoneybaggYo, Sada Baby, Tracy T, Guapo, Neednoname, Tripstar, Damedot, Big Txp, Starlito etc. My Detroit brother Rocaine helped me get to where I’m at I can’t lie but I definitely manifested, worked, and prayed for all of my success. I really got that bounce in my beats and I really put my emotions into my melodies I produce from living life going thru things or doing certain things ya know.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
No luck all work.
