Hi Claressa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in a musical family so music was in my veins since I was a kid. I was in my first band and 20 and then moved to nyc where I played in jazz clubs and bars around there. I found my way to Nashville to perfect my songwriting. I’ve met some really amazing people along the way. It’s been an interesting journey so far!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a long journey but I’ve learned so much throughout it all. The love of music and the connections I’ve made along the way keep me going, and I’m excited to keep releasing and growing my audience. It’s pretty saturated but I know I’ll find what’s meant for me by working hard and persevering.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love songwriting the most. I love finding a beautiful melody and expressing myself through it.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the music & culture of the city. Anywhere you go, you can hear amazing talent. Also, so many people move here from all over the world which makes it diverse and unique. The traffic can get pretty crazy if you leave at the wrong time of the day for sure.
