Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Burns.

Hi Dawn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I had the opportunity to take on The Nashville Mom when the original owner, Lindsey McPherson started a new business, Sitting Made Simple. I wanted to continue to share about the best places in Nashville for families and to support all the small businesses and unique places in our town! The Nashville Mom is a place to share my love for Music City and to connect with families that live here and those visiting!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey of an online space isn’t always easy! However, I’ve been able to meet so many people and have experiences that I otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I write about places to see and things to do in Nashville on my blog, The Nashville Mom. Each season, I share a guide to all the family-friendly events around town. My page is a resource for those who live in Nashville as well as those planning a trip here. I also share travel destinations.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
The one comment I receive the most is “you’re so busy!” I think that it must seem like I’m always doing something or that when I post, I’m actually there! I plan out my content and will repurpose posts so a picture could be from a year ago! I am at home washing clothes or playing with my dogs more than anything else!
