Life & Work with Ellie Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellie Adams.

Hi Ellie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
When the pandemic first hit my weight fluctuated a lot and I couldn’t quite figure out a healthy balance for what I should be eating and how much. With the lack of schedule and interaction, I really struggled with taking care of myself as a whole on a day-to-day basis. Something that really helped me during this time was going for long walks and listening to different wellness podcasts.

After discovering all these podcasts I enjoyed listening to I wanted to try them for myself and see what I could do with this passion for wellness. I didn’t officially launch until 2022, but I have grown so much, and I am so glad I took the opportunity when I saw it!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a full-time student, a cycling instructor, and in many leadership positions around my campus it can be very hard to navigate and practice time management.

With everything I have going on it can be hard to find the motivation to make episodes and come up with topics that I haven’t talked about before and feel comfortable talking about and sharing with others. I know my views on wellness are very inclusive and body neutral which isn’t the most popular practice among many so I try to speak out on body neutrality to others while also understanding many people will disagree.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I started my own podcast, the Simply Growing podcast and it is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and Anchor!

I’m most proud of the amazing people I have gotten to meet and interview on my podcast such as Callie Jardine the owner of The Sweaty Studio, and Anna Schafhauser the owner of You Are Company. The people I have connected with through this journey have been some of the most inspirational people! I am someone who started at rock bottom but has started to have advertisements and my podcast is now monetized!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’m so grateful for all the cycle bar instructors in my hometown! They truly showed me a deeper look inside the wellness industry and motivated me and cheered me on the whole process!
