Today we’d like to introduce you to Holly Trepka.
Hi Holly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
NEAT Method originally started in San Francisco over 11 years ago. It soon expanded to Chicago, IL and then began franchising to cities all across the US.
After working in pharmaceutical sales for 13 years, I became burnt out on the corporate lifestyle and was ready to set out for something more fulfilling. I have always had a passion for organizing but never dreamed it could become the career it has today.
When I first came across NEAT Method in 2018, they had locations in 35 cities and I could not believe Nashville was not one of them. I knew I was destined to open a market in my hometown. Three years later, NEAT Method is now the largest luxury home organizing company with over 90 owners across the US and Canada. We are a fully women-owned company and have recently expanded our unique line of organizing products.
Our Nashville team has expanded as well, servicing the many clients moving to Nashville and organizing every space from kitchens and closets to garages and even businesses. We serve all of middle Tennessee including Metro Nashville, Hendersonville, and The Grove.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Who could have predicted a worldwide pandemic in your second year of business? Like so many other businesses, we were forced to stop offering our services for a while during the shutdown. And as a new business owner, I worried about how this could affect things long term.
But surprisingly that did not last for long. As clients spent more time than ever in their own homes, they realized the things they wanted to change. This led to many people moving, renovating, and purging during the pandemic. We were able to resume our services under the guided precautions (masks, gloves, social distancing).
Coming out of this pandemic, we have been able to help our clients feel more at peace in their own space. For some, we transitioned rooms to allow working and schooling from home. For others, we were able to assist in cleaning out spaces they have avoided due to the lack of time. And with Nashville continuing to be a hot relocation city, we are unpacking and settling new families all the time.
But the road to here has still been rocky. Just like our clients, I was personally living through virtual school, my husband working from home, a major kitchen renovation, and pandemic anxiety while being busier than ever!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a professional organizer. We offer a luxury white glove service where we handle everything from purchasing the specific organizing products to managing donations and trash removal. Every client and project is unique and we really get to know our client’s needs so we can create a system that is fully functioning, easy to maintain, and also beautiful.
NEAT Method is a service but also a lifestyle. We believe that making the areas in your home NEAT will cause less stress that you will be able to carry with you through your day. While we are also known for satisfying Instagram photos, we believe in creating realistic spaces that the work in real life for our client’s needs and upkeep.
I am proud to be a part of a women-owned company that supports each market locally but also gives you the autonomy to run your business as you see fit. With our own network of organizers across the country, we have a “better together” mentality and it truly feels like a family.
I adore my team of organizers here in Nashville, we all love what we do and the sense of accomplishment with each project.
How do you define success?
Personally, I think success is finding work that makes you happy and being able to serve others. It never gets old to see the reaction on a client’s face at the end of a project.
In return for that satisfaction, our business has grown immensely due to client referrals.
