Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Tran.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I came to the US from Vietnam back in 2001, and my first place to live was in Oahu, Hawaii.
I was 14 years old living with my family. I try Poke first time in Hawaii, and I loved it so much and always want to know how to make and open a Poke restaurant. I moved to Florida in 2004 and Mississippi after finishing high school. I work in a Sushi restaurant in ocean Springs Mississippi for a couple of years to learn and have experience with restaurants.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I owned PokeNash in the Assembly food hall, we specialize in our Marinated Poke Tuna/salmon. Since moving to Nashville with our first Poke shop we like to combine our Poke with many fresh incredible toppings to go along with our Poke bowl.
I’m most proud of our Poke sauces everyone can build their own Poke bowl the way they want it to be, we also add our chicken glazed with teriyaki sauce to go along with our poke bowl.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
My favorite childhood memory is lived Hawaii with my sibling. We support each other when we were young.
