Life & Work with Jennifer Harvard

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Harvard.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
“My background in Natural Health and Holistic Healing spans over 30 years. I was inspired by my mother who was a Reflexologist while growing up, which spurred me to seek alternative approaches to healing. I worked in health food stores in the 1990s while studying Massage and Bodywork and went on to become a massage therapist and energy healer.

My true path as a seeker didn’t end with the physical. As a Recovering Alcoholic, I looked for a community and a spiritual practice that met my needs. Along my journey, I became a Tibetan Buddhist Practitioner, studied some Yogic Philosophy, and dabbled in Other Nature Based Religions but found my true spiritual path and home in Nature-Based Spirituality or Shamanism. From these traditions, I have learned that if one of us is not liberated, none of us are truly free.
Much of my work today involves using Ritual and Ceremony to create a Safe space for women to gather in the community and honor each turn in the Celtic Wheel Of the Year.

Through my years of study and certifications, I recently launched a healing practice. My one-on-one sessions focus on creating the same safe space for women to heal through a variety of techniques such as Aromatherapy, Ayurvedic Massage, Chakra Balancing, Meditation, Breathwork, and leading Shamanic Journeys. I look forward to seeing you in one of my circles or working with you to facilitate your own healing journey.”

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Creating and Maintaining community isn’t for the faint of heart. Many women have come and gone. I have come to trust the process and understand that the women that are meant to be in my Circles will be there.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create sacred space for Women to honor their Divine Essence through Seasonal Retreats, The Goddess Craft Market, and one on one healing sessions. I am also a jewelry designer and Artisan. I’m very proud of all my events but am most proud of The Goddess Craft Market. The next one is September 25, 10 am-5 pm at Wilburn Street studio. This market honors women in the healing, visual, and performing arts. This year we have 43 vendors including food trucks, aromatherapy blends, artists, tarot readings, massage and so much more!

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
My events focus on each turn in the Celtic wheel of the year. They are happening all the time.
