Life & Work with John Cureton

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Cureton.

Hi John, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started cannabis cultivation in California in the early 2000s while I was pursuing acting. I gained valuable knowledge in that market and left after a breakup. I moved to Nashville today to pursue folk music but won the Nashville 48hr film festival for best horror movie writer. I met my son’s mother, moved to Colorado and founded Colorado Springs’s first cannabis boutique. I won a handful of awards and sold that business.

I moved to Tennessee and started this business as a consulting firm but saw a space that needed mature operators and moved into edible manufacturing. We are now Tennessee’s largest organic hemp-derived edible company. Serving over four states and 26 stores.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been relatively easy. I saw a need for a high-quality product and took that to market. We started with one employee and now are up to eight.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an award-winning film writer and cannabis cultivator and businessman. I’ve got 20+ years of experience in both industries. I am most proud of my son. We are different because we strive to provide the best, safest product available.
