Life & Work with Kedrin Meehan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kedrin Meehan. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Kedrin attended the prestigious Aveda Institute Nashville in 2017, graduating and becoming a licensed esthetician early 2018. Her intention for attending esthetics school was skin health, to later work in medical esthetics after getting a nursing degree. But it turns out God had other plans for her. In addition to annual educational courses, she has Classic and Volume certifications from Borboleta Beauty, Lash Safety certification from Lash Affair, Brow Lamination certification, and training from Lacquer and Claudia Louise of Co Brow Couture. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With the saturated beauty industry of Nashville, Kedrin struggled to find a job in a medical spa after graduation. Her intention was to work in medical esthetics while in nursing school, to later become a medical esthetic injector. She took a job at a local lash studio thinking it would be temporary. She quickly developed a love for lashing. Desiring to dive deeper into the artistry, Kedrin branched out on her own to start; Lashes by Kedrin in 2019. By word-of-mouth referrals and social media marketing, her success came very quickly. With only working as a full-time lash artist for 3 years, Kedrin has closed her books to new clients until further notice. 

With the rapid growth of the business, Kedrin is looking to hire and train a team of professionals who value her same passion.

Lashes By Kedrin offers eyelash extensions, brow laminations, and lash lift and tints. Kedrin specializes in natural-looking lashes. Her goal is to enhance your beauty, not take away from it. Not only is her work precise, the atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable, and intimate. If clients are not enjoying an afternoon nap or podcast, they are in deep conversation. The inviting ambiance provokes vulnerability and connection. Kedrin enjoys serving her clients with not only a beautiful set of lashes or brows but giving them the opportunity to open up and be heard. 

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I’m from North Carolina and grew up with the same southern hospitality that’s here in Nashville. It seems like the people here genuinely want to be here. They are excited, driven, and I love to be in a city that’s striving for excellence-it keeps me motivated! I dislike that I can’t keep up with all the new restaurants! I’m a big foodie!
