Today we’d like to introduce you to Kellen Serra
Hi Kellen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi! I started in 2022 although the party scene has always caught my interest. Ever since I was young I always knew that this was. A business I would pursue someday, however the summer before my senior year on a trip to mexico, my family showed me the creativity and process behind the parties, It was so inspiring. From the hand made centerpieces to the gift arrangements, from that moment I knew that I wanted to bring that culture and uniqueness back to Nashville and while it was challenging at first , I decided to go for it. Originally this was a gift arrangement business in where I handcrafted small balloon arrangements with candy. However, on my mothers birthday I wanted to gift her a bouquet and I did not know of anyone who was able to make one at the time so I decided to do it on my own, with no tutorials I made my first ever bouquet, it looked horrible to me! but that was the thing that changed my business to what many people know me from florals. I still do many more things at Serra’s Birthdays but our community continuously trust me with beautiful floral arrangements!
Hence the name “Serra’s Birthdays” because my goal one day is to manage every aspect of your event to perfection , like a birthday.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since I did start young, there were many things I didn’t know. The first year was rough for me , orders weren’t coming in and it always made me wonder if it was even worth it but as I know now it’s always important to keep going especially if it’s something you have a passion for because progress and failure is part of the process. This is only my second year and I know there will be more troubles for the future.
However, I know I shouldn’t get discouraged anymore.

We specialize in the event designing of our party community.
From Florals, Bouncy Houses , Pinatas
It is all managed after one company which is Serras birthdays , we do not hire vendors.
I have learned almost every skill by just watching a 1 minute tik tok, I’m a self taught artist.
Recently I have added handmade piñatas to my list and I absolutely love them! I want to get better at them and made them look 3D as possible!
We are hoping to add catering services in the following year!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The key to success is failure.
