Today we’d like to introduce you to Kierra Agee.
Hi Kierra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a creative, bubbly, caring, adventurous, and courageous individual who has grown through both challenges and self-discovery. As a child, I experienced bullying that deeply impacted my mental health and shaped how I viewed—and struggled to love—myself. For years, it was an ongoing battle to accept even the smallest parts of who I was.
Over time, I found healing through self-expression. Content creation became a powerful outlet, allowing me to rediscover my voice and embrace my authenticity. This journey led me to create my podcast, The Mental Odyssey, a space dedicated to reshaping how we view mental health. Rather than focusing solely on the struggles, it highlights growth, positivity, and the importance of self-love and self-improvement.
Through my podcast and social platforms, I aim to create a community where people feel seen, heard, and loved exactly as they are. I am passionate about spreading awareness and changing the narrative around mental health—showing that it’s not just about hardship, but also about healing, resilience, and transformation.
Over the past five years, I have evolved in ways I once thought were impossible. I’ve learned, reflected, and rebuilt my relationship with myself. Now, my mission is to help others do the same—providing support, sharing valuable resources, and creating a safe space for growth, healing, and empowerment.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the struggles that made my journey rocky—but ultimately worth it—came from facing my own healing while dealing with depression and anxiety. I’ve learned that depression doesn’t always look the same; some people appear visibly down, while others seem cheerful on the outside, masking what they feel within. Which is something I struggled with no one could ever tell and everyone always told me you like and appear fine when deep down inside I wasn’t. Another challenge was recognizing who and what wasn’t good for me. Over time, I realized how much your environment and the people you surround yourself with can shape your actions and mindset. I had to accept that not everyone around me had good intentions—many were living just for the moment, while I knew I wanted something deeper and more meaningful. Sometimes, good people get caught in the wrong circles simply because they’re seeking genuine connection, but this journey taught me the importance of choosing better for myself
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a content creator and podcast host who focuses on mental health awareness, self-growth, and personal development. I specialize in creating a positive and relatable space where people can openly explore their emotions, heal, and grow into the best versions of themselves. Through my podcast, The Mental Odyssey, and my social platforms, I’m known for being authentic, uplifting, and real—sharing not only what I’ve learned, but also what I’m still growing through.
What I’m most proud of is my journey—overcoming the effects of bullying, working through depression and anxiety, and learning to love myself despite how difficult that process has been. I’m proud that I’ve turned my pain into purpose and created a space where others can feel seen, heard, and accepted for who they are.
What sets me apart is my honesty and my perspective. I don’t just talk about mental health from the outside—I’ve lived it, and I continue to grow through it. I bring a sense of positivity and hope to a topic that is often seen as heavy, showing that healing, self-love, and transformation are possible. I strive to be someone people can relate to, trust, and find comfort in while navigating their own journeys.
