Today we’d like to introduce you to Maryam Saleh.

Hi Maryam, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We wanted to take a minute to introduce ourselves and share the story of Pink Mimosa! Pink Mimosa Boutique is run by us (Paige and Maryam). Two friends who met in the retail industry fresh out of college. We became best friends and eventually even roommates, always wanting to and talking about starting our own business. We had a love for fashion and the way a new outfit could make us feel!

After many years of dreaming, we finally took the leap, put together a business plan, and Pink Mimosa was born! We are both from Texas, but as life is a constant journey, and we still work full time, we are currently running the business from Grapevine, TX, and Pittsburgh, PA! That is the joy of an eCommerce business, and we can still efficiently run the business from two states AND reach so many more of you brunch babes out there all over the map!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
With any new business, there are roadblocks you have to overcome. We first started our business during the pandemic. That, in itself, posed many challenges to getting our names out there and connecting with our customers face to face. Another struggle we face is that this is not our only job. We both have full-time jobs that require a lot of our time. So being able to put in the necessary effort that a new business requires forces us to allocate our time most efficiently. We have found a balance between our careers and pink mimosa boutique for the last two years. We hope to continue to grow substantially in the years to come.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Pink Mimosa boutique is a women’s online clothing and accessories boutique. We cater to the everyday woman and provide her with products that will make her feel her best when she walks out that door! We take pride in connecting with our customers by practicing in pop-ups in our local community daily. It allows us to reach out and talk to our customers who support us online.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting?
Our advice is to lean into your local communities, research the product that you are selling to make sure that it has good quality, utilize social media platforms and be open to learning something new every day!
