Life & Work with Megan Eggers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Eggers.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have an extensive background in the beauty industry also bearing a cosmetology license and working as a hair colorist for many years.

I love all things beauty! My true passion is brows. I fell in love with microblading in 2016 when I had my own brows done and I immediately became certified to perform the procedure on clients.

I am a licensed tattoo artist and certified Microblading Technician based in Nashville, TN, formerly based in New York. I was trained by Nadia Afanaseva from Eye Design NYC.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey has been absolutely NOT smooth!

But rewarding nonetheless. It takes so much motivation and drive to start and maintain your own business. Probably about 80% of the girls in my Microblading foundations class never continued because it can be draining.

It takes a lot of work to build clientele and tons of consistency and there are periods of time where you make no money at all while you’re building.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Cosmetic tattooing- Microblading, Combination Brows, lip blush, Freckles.

Combination brows are my absolute favorite to do. I love the way they look healed. I am most proud of my persistence to continue this career.

I’ve had so many life changes in the meantime like moving to a brand new city while knowing nobody and then being pregnant and now having a newborn and not one part of me ever wants to stop doing brows.

What matters most to you? Why?
Client satisfaction and transformation. Seeing how happy clients are with their healed results and how much time and money I can save them makes me thrilled.
