Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Ntibonera.
Hi Naomi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was originally born in the democratic republic of Congo. Currently living in Nashville. I am a full-time college student at UNCG. I also I am a fashion blogger, influencer, and content creator. I began doing Instagram fashion blogging and being an influencer in 2018. Fashion has always been my interest and I’ve always seen myself growing in that niche.
I began doing Instagram blogging and influencing in 2018. I began by just posting photos that I loved and wearing outfits from my favorite clothing brands. I love the fashion influencer community because each day I am learning something new. since I began Instagram fashion influencing I’ve been inspired by so many people that do what I do. In 2017, I did not take social media very serious because fashion was something that I love doing for which, which I still love doing, but when time went along I became motivated. Since 2018, I’ve continued to take fashion blogging very serious and is something I want to grow in and become successful in. I am also a content creator on YouTube. I love being able to create content that is fun and has meaning behind it. I get to welcome people into my life and share my story, and that is the greatest thing ever. Being consistent and motivated got me where I am today. I have always told myself if you want something go for it. I have surrounded myself with people who are ambitious and have passion for fashion and influencing. I thank God for giving me multiple talents of being creative and creating content that inspires people.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has and it hasn’t been a smooth road. The reason I say this is because everything takes time. When I started in 2018 taking social media seriously, it was hard at the beginning building a following and finding out the content I wanted to create that id think my audience would love. Some days I had no motivation in creating content because I often doubted myself and my abilities. Also, there was a time where I compared myself to other influencers that did the same thing I did. I wanted to do what they did and eventually, that did not work out well. What got me to where I am at today is also being unique and making sure I stand out from all the content creators that do what I do. I wanted to be a successful fashion blogger right away and that is not how it works. I learned how to have patience, and having faith and believing that soon that time would come.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am currently a full-time college student at the University of Greensboro, North Carolina. I am studying information systems and supply chain management. Besides that I do Instagram fashion blogging and content creator. I am most proud of everything I have accomplished. I was not born in the United States and luckily, I was able to come the states with my family in 2009 and create opportunity that would help me in the future. I have accomplished so much by going to college, working on my social media, playing soccer in high school, being part of Ntibonera foundation and raising more that 30k pairs of shoes to send to congo drc and give children. I would say I am known for being a kind, intelligent, ambitious, talented and hard-working woman. I am proud of where my career is going and can’t wait to see what the future holds. What sets me apart from others is that I am multi-talented. I have strong skills that I have developed throughout the years. I’ve set goals for myself that are beyond my but with God anything is possible. I am confident, caring, loving, creative. I come from a family of 11.
How do you define success?
I define success as having a great outcome of something and finding a way to use that to help other people. Having success is good but id rather be a person of value and great character.
