Life & Work with Sean Della Croce of West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Della Croce.

Hi Sean, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up in Nashville, I was exposed to the music industry very young. From that point, I grew to love the art form, learned an instrument, and began writing songs. Since the age of about 10 it has been a consistent practice in my life that continues to this day with touring and my debut record, Illuminations.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
The path of an artist is always tricky in a society that at once craves music and grossly undervalues it. The greatest challenge is finding one’s voice and mustering up the courage to remain true to that as much as possible.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a songwriter first and foremost, and I think my poetic approach to songwriting is what sets me apart.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Perseverance is the name of the game in the music industry. It goes hand in hand with authenticity.
