Today, we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Best.
Hi Stacy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hey y’all, I’m Stacy Best, a.k.a. Nashville Stacy. I’m a content creator and social media influencer with a serious love for country music, concerts, and all things Nashville.
I created Best Life Studio seven years ago as a place to share my country concert experiences. Followers would ask questions, I would respond, and the next thing you know, we’d meet up at a concert or in Nashville. There’s nothing like finding your tribe of like-minded friends!
When we couldn’t attend concerts in 2020, my husband and I decided we needed a fun project that would keep us connected to music. I researched what we would need and taught myself how to host, record, edit, and promote a podcast. We started The B Side Podcast, which is like the B Side of a record, the stories you might not have heard. One of the things we love about concerts is the behind-the-scenes operations of what it takes to get that artist up on that big stage. We wanted to interview the “talent behind the talent” in country music. Like the tour bus driver, the drum tech, the stylist, the songwriter, and the manager, behind your favorite country stars. We also wanted to highlight the rising talent in Nashville and hear about their journeys.
In an attempt to drive traffic to our podcast, I eventually came out from behind the camera and started to share more of my personality on TikTok and Instagram. I immediately fell in LOVE with storytelling on short-form video, and—bless my heart—here we are. My intent is to share footage captured on my iPhone from the fan’s perspective. I believe this style resonates best with my followers.
Today, I’m focused on sharing content about the country concert and Nashville. Nashville is a hot travel destination for good reason, with its country music roots, trendy shopping, & up-and-coming food scene. Music City more than lives up to its name with the incredible sound of talented artists billowing from the windows of iconic honky tonks on Broadway. My passion is sharing content that helps followers navigate all of the amazing experiences our city has to offer.
I am so grateful for the special concert and Nashville experiences, and especially the incredible people I have met as a result of social media collaborations, partnerships, and events. My country concert heart is full as I truly am living my best life, sharing all of the experiences I am so passionate about with my favorite people.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge for me as a content creator is putting myself out there. Strangers and people I know in real life can be judgemental. When I fully embraced putting my authentic self out there and not caring what others think about it, that’s when I started having a lot more creative fun and overall success.
Editing, consistency, strategic planning, following trends and algorithms, managing collaborations, and recording require a tremendous amount of time and discipline. At this point, I haven’t taken the leap to content creation full-time, and I have been interviewing influencer management agencies to help me take Nashville Stacy to the next level!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I was receiving the same questions over and over again from my followers regarding the best places to visit. That eventually led me to create The Ultimate Nashville Experience for First Timers Free Guide, The Ultimate Guide to Nashville Hotels, and the Ultimate Guide to Nashville Bars. Due to the popularity of the guides, I’m launching the NASHVILLE INSIDER.
The platform will offer up to the minute updates on hotels, bars, restaurants, museums & tours, shopping, concert venues, sports, and special bonuses including weekend itineraries, packing lists, and insider tips. I love sharing juicy tips like the perfect day for a 40th birthday party, my favorite rooftop to watch fireworks, and the most instagrammable hotspots in town.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My husband Andy has been my partner in crime on this journey. In the early TikTok days he frequently made cameos appearances and my followers loved it!
Once in a while I can still talk him into it, but he prefers to be behind the scenes as I bounce ideas off of him almost daily. He always has a fun twist to offer up that makes my content better. I’ve been to hundreds of live music performances and he is my favorite person to go with, it’s just not the same if he’s not there with me.
I lean on my friends and family to provide invaluable feedback on my guides and business opportunities, and a special shoutout to my besties who come along as my plus one (and sometimes helper) to concerts and events.
Thank you to the Nashville businesses and artists who trust me to create videos and podcast episodes highlighting their unique gifts. It makes me the happiest girl on earth to help them grow.
