Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Davis.

Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2018, after working 30 years for local state government, one day I woke up and said I want to work for myself. I had always had a passion for catering and serving others. However, working as a full- time state employee left very little time for anything else. I had a very successful career, and I took my career very seriously. However, I felt like my stint with the government had run its course. There was something on the inside telling me that it was time to follow my passion. After much prayer and planning, B’yond Events & Catering LLC opened in October of 2019. I choose B’yond for the name of my company because it went parallel to my personality. I’ve always been a person to go over and beyond what is required. I wouldn’t call myself an overachiever, but simply someone who enjoys doing things for others beyond average expectations.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. As I mentioned earlier, I opened my company in October of 2019, and then in March of 2020 the pandemic hit. Most of the challenges I have faced center around the pandemic. No one was ordering food or hosting events for an entire year. This was very discouraging. However, things are finally picking up.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
B’yond Events & Catering LLC is an events, catering and staffing company located in the Nashville, TN area. Our specialities are Charcuterie/Grazing Catering and Buffet Wedding Catering. The catering side of this business is definitely winning right now. When compared to the event planning. One item in particular that we are known for is our Charcuterie Gift Boxes. These boxes are fabulous for any occasion; birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, showers, holidays and etc. I have noticed a few other businesses in the area with the same concept. However, as I mentioned earlier, I have been pleasing people all of my life and this trait is what I pour into my business. Every customer is important and every job is significant. My company name is a clue to the type of service to expect, B’yond Events & Catering means we go over and beyond what is expected to please our customers.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I love what I do because it allows me to be as creative as I want. I love taking risks and thinking outside the box. My favorite statement is “I’m not your average caterer”. I’ve always been different, and catering gives me the perfect platform to express myself. My wheels are always spinning, long before the next event.
