Life & Work with Torry Hofacker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Torry Hofacker.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
I started posting on TikTok during the pandemic but wasn’t that active. After going through a breakup, I started posting more and more as a way to distract myself from feeling sad or brokenhearted. The more I started posting, the more I fell in love with and found a new community there.

I moved to Philly in June of this year and started reaching out to more Influencers in the area and I have made great connections so far! I’m continuing to network and expand my creativity now on TikTok and Instagram as well! I want to bring Mid Size Fashion, Laughs and of course, some sass to all my followers’ lives!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think finding the motivation to stay consistent on social media is a big obstacle that a lot of content creators face.

For me, my full-time job (working in insurance) plays a big factor. It’s not always easy to go from a full 8-hour day of work to filming TikTok or creating more content.

Another obstacle I faced and continue to face is bullying. There are some videos I post and people just come at you for any little thing. It’s more annoying to me than anything else. I don’t really get too emotionally upset or let it impact my confidence, it just makes the comment sections a negative space.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Full-time. I handle worker’s compensation insurance claims, but part-time I am a content creator. I have a bigger following on TikTok than I do on Instagram, but I am trying to grow each. I like to summarize my content by saying I bring you the fashion, laughs, and sass. I like to show any good mid-size fashion finds that make me feel confident, I like to poke fun at myself and also show my sassy side at the same time.

I think my confidence and my energy/vibe are what sets me apart. I get a lot of DMs telling me how people are attracted to the energy I bring to my social media posts and that they can feel it just from watching or seeing my post.

I think that’s the biggest compliment I received, I’m a firm believer in the energy that someone gives you is a big indication of who they are deep down.
