Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty March.
Hi Ty, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started playing drums in bands at age 14, I ended up getting in a signed band in the progressive metal world and toured the country from 21 to 24. I quit the band to pursue a solo artist country career in Nashville in 2014 and have been in Nashville making music ever since.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This is not a smooth road industry. Trying to make it in music is a hard thing to do. Even just getting your music in front of people is a big struggle.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a modern-style country cross-over artist.
I specialize in fusing genres to make a unique and original sound. I have built up a following of 450k followers on TikTok and 140k on Instagram. I think what sets me apart is for the most part I produce and audio engineer/mix a lot of my music.
So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why.
Family, creativity, and the fans.
Without people to listen to my music, I might as well just keep all my creations in a Dropbox folder and keep all my songs locked away. The listener is what matters the most. My goal is to maximize the number of ears on the music to the highest level I possibly can.
