Today we’d like to introduce you to Wil and Taylor Nolan.

Hi Wil and Taylor, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We had no idea how to make candles. But we loved them, specifically the clean kind that smelled good – without filling the air with toxins. We ordered supplies and started experimenting in the kitchen of our apartment. Our first batch was a failure. We laughed a lot and then failed again. The wisdom gained from our hard-earned defeat fertilized the soil of our third batch – a great success. Our apartment smelt amazing. Our signature Sage & Lavender candle was born before we even had a name for our little candle company. After much thought (and a few cheugy ideas) – we found our way to “November Nine.” Named in honor of our wedding day, the establishment of our home. At the beginning of our many adventures together, the best is ahead.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
Aside from a few failed batches here and there – we’ve been smooth sailing since our launch in April. Huge thank you to our friends, families, and fellow candle lovers!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Taylor – Can be found at Honest Coffee Roasters, working alongside the best team of baristas in town.
Wil – Super creative guy stuck in a sales gig. Tale as old as time.

What do you think about happiness?
Great question. We find happiness in so many areas of our life. We are foodies. We also like coffee – a lot. We were sipping cups of coffee together on a Saturday morning. Game nights with beloved friends. Date nights. Frozen pizzas. Puppies. Candles. Why? Often because we’re enjoying it together.
