Meet Alex Cruz of Cruz Control Ent. LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Cruz.

Hi Alex, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey really started from just having a passion for creativity and figuring things out on my own. I didn’t come in with a blueprint or a big team—I was just creating, learning, and building as I went. Early on, I was doing photography, video work, and content for whoever needed it, just trying to sharpen my skills and understand how to turn creativity into something sustainable.

Being in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area played a big role, because I was surrounded by artists, entrepreneurs, and people who needed content but didn’t always have access to high-quality production. I saw that gap and leaned into it. That’s how I started building not just a service, but a platform.

Over time, that grew into what is now Cruz Control Entertainment—an ecosystem built around content creation, podcast production, and giving creatives a space to tell their stories. From launching platforms like Cruz Control Radio to building out studio services and live experiences, everything I’ve done has been about creating opportunities—not just for myself, but for the people around me.

I’ve had to learn business, branding, and structure along the way, while also balancing real life—being a father, managing responsibilities, and staying consistent even when things weren’t perfect. That’s really been the biggest part of the journey: growth through pressure.

Today, I’m focused on scaling what I’ve built—expanding services, creating more platforms, and helping artists and businesses turn their ideas into real, monetizable content. But at the core of it, I’m still that same person who just started with a camera and a vision—I’ve just gotten a lot more intentional about how I move.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—and honestly, I don’t think it’s supposed to be. A lot of my journey has been built through trial and error. I started without a clear blueprint, so there were times I was underpricing myself, overworking, and trying to figure out how to turn creativity into consistent income.

One of the biggest challenges has been financial stability. When you’re building something from the ground up, especially in a creative field, income can be unpredictable. I’ve had moments where I had to figure things out fast—whether that was getting new clients, restructuring my services, or just staying disciplined enough to keep going.

Another challenge has been wearing multiple hats. I’m not just the creative—I’m the marketer, the salesperson, the editor, the strategist. Learning how to balance all of that while also being present for my family, especially as a father, has pushed me to grow a lot as a man and as a business owner.

There have also been moments of doubt—times where things didn’t move as fast as I wanted or opportunities didn’t come through. But those moments forced me to become more intentional, more structured, and more focused on building something long-term instead of chasing quick wins.

Looking back, those struggles were necessary. They taught me how to move smarter, value my work, and build something that’s actually sustainable.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Cruz Control Ent. LLC?
My business, Cruz Control Entertainment, is built around one core idea: helping creatives and businesses turn their vision into high-quality, monetizable content. We specialize in content creation, podcast production, and full-scale media services—from shooting and editing to branding and strategy.

What we’re known for is not just the quality of our visuals, but the experience and the structure behind it. A lot of people can shoot content—but not everyone can help you turn that content into something that actually grows your brand or generates revenue. That’s where we stand out. We don’t just create—we guide, we develop, and we help execute a bigger vision.

We’ve created platforms like Cruz Control Radio, 1Shot Performance and 90Second Live Performance that give artists real opportunities to be seen and heard, while also building out professional services for businesses that need consistent, high-level content. So we operate both as a service provider and as a platform for exposure.

What really sets us apart is that we understand both sides—the creative side and the business side. We’re not just thinking about how something looks, we’re thinking about how it performs, how it converts, and how it helps our clients grow long-term.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is building something from the ground up that people now recognize and trust. Cruz Control Entertainment isn’t just a name—it’s becoming a standard. When people come to us, they know they’re getting quality, consistency, and a level of professionalism that helps them stand out.

For readers, I want them to know that whether you’re an artist, entrepreneur, or business owner, if you have a vision, we can help bring it to life the right way—and more importantly, help you turn that vision into something that actually works for you.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like most about Nashville is the energy and the opportunity. It’s a city full of creatives, entrepreneurs, and people chasing something bigger. There’s a strong sense of community here—if you tap in the right way, you can really build meaningful connections and create opportunities not just for yourself, but for others too. I also appreciate how diverse the creative scene is becoming. It’s not just one lane anymore—you’ve got music, media, business, and culture all blending together.

What I like least is that, as the city grows, it can sometimes feel like certain creative communities—especially independent artists and local entrepreneurs—don’t always get the visibility or support they deserve. There’s a lot of talent here, but not always enough structure or platforms to consistently highlight it. That’s actually part of what motivates me to build what I’m building—creating spaces and opportunities where people can be seen, heard, and taken seriously.

Overall though, Nashville is a city where you can really make something happen if you stay consistent and move with intention.
