Meet Alissa Reese of Other

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alissa Reese.

Alissa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a young woman from Oahu,Hawaii – I started my journey wanting to build a life that truly aligned with who I am. That led me into the legal field, where working as a legal secretary deepened my interest in law and helping others navigate complex situations.

At the same time, I leaned into my creative and entrepreneurial side—growing my floral business, @littlemissflorist__, and helping build my family swim line, @ajala.inc. I also began sharing my life online, from pre-law and career insights to fitness, beauty, and everyday routines.

What started as a creative outlet has grown into a platform built on consistency and authenticity. Now, I’m balancing my growth in the legal field with content creation and entrepreneurship—building businesses, partnering with brands, and creating a life that feels purposeful and fully my own.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Balancing multiple paths at once—working in the legal field, building businesses, and growing a platform—has come with a lot of trial and error. There have been moments of burnout, times where I questioned if I was spreading myself too thin, and periods where growth felt slow or uncertain.

Building my floral business and helping develop a swim line both came with their own challenges, from figuring out logistics and branding to learning how to stay consistent even when results weren’t immediate. The same goes for content creation—learning how to show up authentically while also being strategic wasn’t something that happened overnight.

I’ve also had to navigate the pressure of trying to do everything well at once. But those challenges pushed me to become more disciplined, intentional, and clear on what I want. Looking back, the struggles were necessary—they helped shape the balance and direction I have now.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work at the intersection of law, content creation, and entrepreneurship. I’m a legal secretary with plans to pursue law school, while also creating content around pre-law, lifestyle, fitness, and beauty.

I run a floral business, @littlemissflorist__, and help build a family swim line, @ajala.inc., which allow me to combine creativity with business.

I’m known for creating content that feels both aspirational and relatable, especially for women balancing career goals and everyday life. What I’m most proud of is building all of this at once while staying authentic. What sets me apart is that I’m not just talking about balance—I’m living it in real time.
