Meet Allison White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison White. 

Hi Allison, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always loved taking photos. Anytime you look back over my life, I have had some type of camera. I started taking photography more seriously in 2018/2019, and shot my first wedding season in 2021! Even with the pandemic, I rounded out the year with sixteen weddings & elopements, and six booked already for 2022! I focus on authenticity with my clients and telling their stories in ways that feel unique and true to them. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a bumpy road at times, truly. I think every creative struggles with imposter syndrome at some point. Finding confidence in my art took some time, but I’m learning (always, always learning) that my perspective and style are to be celebrated! I’ve fallen in love with my own ability to capture couples in their element. The longer I do this the more passionate I am about creating magic when working with my clients! 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a wedding and elopement photographer focused on capturing couples who are madly in love. I specialize in prompt-based posing and double exposure photos! I’m probably most proud of my editing style and double exposure work, for sure. I describe my editing style as “buttercream frosting”. It’s decadent, creamy, and dreamy. 

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Capturing emotion matters most to me. I want my clients to be able to look back in 40 years and see the love they have for each other. I captured photos for an elopement of a friend last year at the hospital because her dad was sick. Unfortunately, he passed about a month after her wedding, but we took tons of family photos for them and the shots from her first look with her dad were breathtaking. We never know when the last moment we have with someone is, so I strive to create beautiful memories when taking photos.
