Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Kinser.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story truly started when I gave my heart and life to Jesus and He in return gave me everlasting life and eyes to see beauty in the world around me. This beauty went far beyond the outward or surface-level appearance that I once had primarily seen. I was given eyes on my heart so to speak. Eyes that would see the value, the worth, and the potential in people.
With this new vison, I was also given a boldness and a confidence to call out what I saw in those around me. And by the grace of God, I was born with a somewhat “sweet southern twang” that lets me say things in a voice that makes people want to sit and listen.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Seeing the value in others has always been easier than seeing the value in myself. Learning to truly value and love myself and have confidence in who I am has been an ongoing process. I am still learning that approval from God is all I need and that I am to please Him first and then everything else will trickle down from there.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Amy B Kinser Storehouse?
Amy B Kinser Storehouse was a God dream. Meaning God dreamed it for me and put it into my heart. The Storehouse, based on Malachi 3:10, is a place where you will find tossed aside, once loved items ready to be brought into your home as a now treasured heirloom. Every item has been thoughtfully rescued with each of my customers in mind. It is a place for me to share my love of antiques and vintage items with others who have the same love.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I will always say that the Bible is my favorite book as it truly is my instruction manual for life. My next favorite book is The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom and I recommend everyone read it. I am a podcast junkie. My favorite podcasts will range from Homemaker Chic to Dateline and I love listening to sermons on YouTube.
