Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Greer.
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I’ve been cooking for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a family that loves to cook, I spent much time in the kitchen with my mother, grandmothers, and aunts. As time passed, my husband and I started talking about the possibility of selling plates at my previous job, but time just didn’t allow.
I also knew I wanted to do something other than my full-time job, which I was passionate about. So, when I changed jobs in 2022, with my husband’s encouragement, I decided to take a leap of faith. And in February 2023, I started selling plates to my co-workers. That’s where it began…
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m really still in the beginning stages and learning as much as I can along the way. Entrepreneurship isn’t easy by far, and I’m still learning the ins and outs of business, but cooking and ensuring my clients and customers get what they ask comes easily!
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a self-taught private chef and caterer.
I service small events, private parties, and weddings, and I also provide meal prep. I’m a true country girl from Jackson, TN, so I specialize in Southern Cuisine, but I also love salads, pasta, and a good brunch. I provide a menu of variety.
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come and my overall growth, and I can say that I am the owner of The LadyBug Kitchen, LLC. I’m building a legacy for my family. Specializing in Southern cuisine sets me apart from others because you don’t find good homecooked, hearty meals everywhere.
