Meet Big Bruno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Big Bruno.

Hi Big, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Music has always been in my life. My father was a music director in the churches that I grew up in while my mother always had the radio on listening to classics and introducing me to various genres. I started making beats back in 2011 for fun and to rap on. I always had a love for the hip-hop culture/music, but could never see myself rapping in a serious way. I did however see myself becoming a producer and taking that seriously. After a couple of kids in high school hopped on one of my beats, I decided to dabble into producing the records as well. Fast forward 11 years, and over 10,000 hours, the best music is yet to come.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
You face challenges every day. Producing records means it’s not just you that’s involved. You have the artists, the engineers, the managers, the lawyers, the budgets, the list goes on. Several people can get involved to release one record. You could be sitting on a record for 6 months that never gets released. The process can definitely be taxing.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a music producer primarily involved in the Hip-Hop genre of things. I am known for my large sound & southern bouncing drum patterns. Mostly proud of my placements including Jelly Roll, “Bring It Back”, Bubba Sparxxx ft. Charlie P “Tell Them”, 2’Live Bre ft. Duke Deuce “She Thick”, Daisha McBride ft. 24Hrs “Pump Fake”, and many others soon to come.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Waking up on Saturday not having to go to school watching VH1 music videos and grinding out on RuneScape for 12 hours a day. Definitely had no life back then lol.
